Ordering process

Direct purchase - ordering process

Making a new purchase:

Choose which product you would like to buy: Burp Suite Professional or Burp Suite Enterprise Edition.

To purchase Burp Suite Professional:

  1. Enter your details on the order form, using the email address of the person who will be managing the license - this person will become the account holder.
  2. If you don't know how many licenses you need, remember you need a license for each individual person that will ever need to use the software.
  3. Confirm your details and proceed with the payment.
  4. Once payment has been made, and the order is fulfilled, you will receive a confirmation email.
  5. You will be able to access your license via your PortSwigger user account - you can access your PortSwigger user account using the email address you used to place the order.
  6. If you are a new account holder, your password will be sent in a separate email. If you are an existing account holder, please use your current password to access your account and license.

To purchase Burp Suite Enterprise Edition:

  1. Enter your details into the order form using the email address of the person who will be managing the license - this person will become the account holder.
  2. The default for concurrent scans is ten, but you can change the amount of scans to suit your organization's needs.
  3. Confirm your details and proceed with the payment.
  4. Once payment has been made, and the order is fulfilled, you will receive a confirmation email.
  5. You will be able to access your license via your PortSwigger user account - you can access your PortSwigger user account using the email address you used to place the order.
  6. If you are a new account holder, your password will be sent in a separate email. If you are an existing account holder, please use your current password to access your account and license.

Renewing a previous purchase:

  • You can renew your license through your PortSwigger user account.
  • Log into your account - you can access your PortSwigger user account using the email address you used to place the order, this is the email address that the licenses are registered to.
  • If you cannot remember your password just click Forgot password - this will direct you to a screen where you can reset your password.
  • Once logged in, click Renew (next to your license on the account dashboard) and follow the directions on the order form.
  • After you have made the payment and the order has been fulfilled, the new license will be valid one year from the date of expiry of the current license.
  • If you need to make any changes to your license, such as adding or removing users/scans, just send us an email and one of the team can do this for you.

Note

Remember to download and activate the new renewed license key from your account dashboard - the old license key will no longer work once it expires, so we advise doing this early to avoid any disruption.

Reseller purchase - ordering process

Making a new purchase:

To purchase new licenses, firstly make sure you have spoken to your customer and understand what it is they need - if you have any questions just contact us and we can offer advice to you and your customer.

Once you have the exact requirements you will need to first select the correct product, and then fill out the related order form.

Burp Suite Professional:

  1. Fill out the buyer details section of the form, making sure to use your own details.
  2. Change the quantity of licenses to what your customer has asked for. Remember, each person ever needing to use the software will need a license for themselves.
  3. Under end user details, you must use the person's details who will be managing the licenses and account as this email address will be used to set up the end user's account.
  4. Confirm details and make payment.
  5. Once payment has been received you will receive the confirmation email, receipt, and paid invoice, to the email address you added in the buyer details section of the form. The end user will not receive the receipt and invoice.
  6. The end user will receive an order confirmation email, with instructions to log into their user account and download the new license key. If the user does not have an account before the order is placed, an account will be set up automatically for them at the point of order. A password link will be sent to the end user's email address so they can access the account.
  7. Please note that only the end user has access to the license key via their account. We do not send the license key via email.

Burp Suite Enterprise Edition:

  1. Fill out the buyer details section of the form, making sure to use your own details.
  2. Change the quantity of licenses and concurrent scans to what your customer has asked for. Remember, each environment your customer plans to run Burp Suite Enterprise Edition in will need an individual license.
  3. Under end user details, you must use the details of the user who will be managing the licenses and account as this email address will be used to set up the end user's account. Currently there can only be one email address associated with an account.
  4. Confirm details and make payment.
  5. Once payment has been received you will receive the confirmation email, receipt, and paid invoice, to the email address you added in the buyer details section of the form. The end user will not receive the receipt and invoice.
  6. The end user will receive an order confirmation email, with instructions to log into their user account and download the new license key. If the user does not have an account before the order is placed, an account will be set up automatically for them at the point of order. A password link will be sent to the end user's email address so they can access the account.
  7. Please note that only the end user has access to the license key via their account. We do not send the license key via email.

Renewing a previous purchase:

  • For all renewals, you will need to know the email address that the end user's licenses are registered to - this is the email address they use to log into their account to access their license.
  • Please ask your end user to provide you with their renewal quote. They can get this by creating a renewal quote through their account, or via a renewal reminder email.
  • Scroll to the bottom of their quotation and click Generate Reseller Quote.
  • Add your details into the "Reseller Details" boxes and click Continue.
  • You can now view your quotation and invoice.
  • If you are ready to place the order, just click Submit payment.
  • Once payment has been made, you will receive the confirmation email - including the paid invoice and receipt.
  • The end user will receive an order confirmation email, with instructions to download and activate their license key.

Quotations

Direct purchase - quotations

Making a new purchase:

You can access your renewal quote through your PortSwigger user account.

  1. Log into your account. You can access your PortSwigger user account using the email address you used to place the order, this is the email address that the licenses are registered to.

Receipts and invoices

Direct purchase - receipts and invoices

Making a new purchase:

  • Once your payment has been received and your order has been fulfilled you will receive a confirmation email with your receipt and invoice. This is sent to the end user's email address.
  • You can also download your receipt and invoice from your account at any time.

Renewing a previous purchase:

  • Once your payment has been received and your order has been fulfilled you will receive a confirmation email with your receipt and invoice. This is sent to the end user's email address.
  • You can also download your receipt and invoice from your account at any time.

Reseller purchase - receipts and invoices

Making a new purchase:

  • If you have placed a new order, once the payment has been received you will be able to view the paid invoice and receipt.
  • Please note these documents are sent in the confirmation email, which is sent once payment has been received and the order has been processed.
  • This confirmation email is sent to the email address listed as "buyer" on your order. Please ensure you put the correct email address under "buyer details" when filling out the order form.

Renewing a previous purchase:

  • If you have placed a renewal order, once the payment has been received you will be able to view the paid invoice and receipt.
  • Please note these documents are sent in the confirmation email, which is sent as soon as the payment has been received and the order has been processed.

We are able to provide quotations to preferred resellers not currently on the list if required.

For new orders, just let your reseller know:

  • The product you wish to purchase,
  • The email address you would like your license(s) to be registered to,
  • Your license requirements.

We are happy to sell Burp Suite through resellers. Please select your country to view the available resellers.

Renewing a previous purchase:

  • Please provide your reseller(s) a copy of your renewal quote, which they can then convert to a reseller renewal quote.
  • Please be advised that you can do this for as many resellers as you need to.

Making a new purchase:

  • If the end user has provided you with a formal quotation you can convert this to a reseller order.
  • At the bottom of the quotation is an orange Generate Reseller Quote button. This will convert your quotation into a reseller quotation.
  • Enter your information into the buyer section on the form.
  • Once you have completed and confirmed your details you can click See quotation to view your new reseller quotation.
  • The quotation will be valid for 90 days.
  • If the end user does not provide you with a formal quotation you can create a new order reseller quotation.

Renewing a previous purchase:

  • The end user must provide you with their renewal quote - they can access this via their PortSwigger user account or through renewal reminder emails.
  • Once you have the renewal quote, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the orange Generate Reseller Quote button.
  • Enter your details into the buyer section of the form.
  • Once you have completed and confirmed your details you can click See quotation to view your new reseller quotation.
  • The quotation will be valid for 90 days.

Certifications

Direct purchase

Making a new purchase:

  • Each purchased exam credit gives you one opportunity to take the exam. If you are unsuccessful in your attempt, you may purchase another Burp Suite Certified Practitioner exam credit.

Renewing a previous purchase:

  • A Burp Suite Certified Practitioner exam credit purchase cannot be renewed.
  • Please follow the same steps as you would when making a new purchase.

Reseller purchase

Making a new purchase:

  • We are currently unable to support the purchase of a Burp Suite Certified Practitioner exam credit via a reseller.
  • Please advise your client or customer to make this purchase themselves.

Renewing a previous purchase:

  • We are currently unable to support the purchase of a Burp Suite Certified Practitioner exam credit via a reseller.
  • A Burp Suite Certified Practitioner exam credit purchase cannot be renewed.

Part number

We do not use a part numbering system for our product suite. Since we only sell three products, we do not need to use part numbers.

If you need to assign a part number to meet any internal requirements for your purchasing or procurement teams, we suggest the following:

  • BSP: Burp Suite Professional.
  • BSEE: Burp Suite Enterprise Edition.
  • BSCP: Burp Suite Certified Practitioner.
