This release adds customisable title bar actions, multiple evidence items for manually created issues, and evidence highlighting for issues raised by Burp AT. It also includes bug fixes and a Java update.
Customizable title bar actions
You can now customize which action icons appear in Burp's title bar and change the order they're displayed in, making it easier to access the tools you use most often.
Go to Settings > User interface > Display > Title bar actions to add actions or separators, drag them into your preferred order, or remove actions you don't use. Your chosen layout is saved across restarts.
Add multiple sets of evidence to a manually created issue
You can now create a manual issue from multiple items, and add multiple items to an existing manually created issue. This makes it easier to group related evidence on a single issue.
Highlight evidence in issues raised by Burp AT
Burp AT can now highlight the relevant parts of request and response evidence when it creates an issue. It can highlight multiple areas within each message, making it easier to identify evidence that supports the issue.
Bug fixes
We've fixed the following bugs:
Burp AT
- Converted Poll For Collaborator Interactions calls now keep their interaction handles, so subsequent Collaborator interactions are tracked correctly.
- Converted Send Request calls now retain their response handle, so you can access the response.
- Organizer now correctly attributes items sent from Burp AT, rather than labelling them as originating from Burp AI.
Burp Suite
- In Repeater, a custom port set in the Host header is now reflected in the target settings.
- The right-click menu no longer displays the option to Copy URL when using the raw editor, where it doesn't apply.
- Burp now loads correctly when
UserConfig.jsoncontains invalid JSON. - In the Extensions tab, the Down button now keeps the selection after moving an extension.
Java update
We updated the bundled Java Runtime to OpenJDK 26.0.2.
