PortSwigger is on a mission to enable the world to secure the web - and helping companies like Google, Amazon, NASA, and Salesforce to secure their web estates.
With a massive base of over 50,000 paying customers in over 13,000 organizations across the globe and a relatively new "Enterprise Edition" product, we're assembling a team to accelerate the growth of our business.
We're looking for a technical product specialist that can ensure trial users and new customers see how great Burp Suite Enterprise Edition is.
The technical product specialist will work within our technical support team. The role will require developing deep technical knowledge of the product, to help customers deploy in a variety of environments (cloud, on premise, CI/CD pipelines). The successful candidate will have experience with one or more cloud solutions and an understanding of DevSecOps.
With our quickly growing customer base, you'll quickly become an expert on the product and our customers, and be able to provide insights that create best practices and enhance our product roadmaps.
This is an opportunity to participate in the fast growing and increasingly important cybersecurity market, using your strong problem solving and communication skills to delight customers while driving the growth of our business.
From an early age, you've had a strong personal interest in technology. You might love playing with gadgets, understanding how things work, and fixing them when they don't. You might invest time in understanding how technology can shape and revolutionize our lives.
You're friendly and thrive on interacting with others, you enjoy working to solve problems and delivering solutions. You naturally get on with different kinds of people.
You love using your skills to help customers to succeed. Chances are you've had prior pre-sales engineering experience in the software industry.
The challenge of helping businesses world-wide to improve their cyber security posture excites you. You love to learn, and relish the opportunity to find out more about software products, programming, or penetration testing.
At school, you were good at maths and science. You have an excellent academic record, with very strong A levels and degree, probably in a technical or scientific discipline.
You're patient, methodical, and dogged in pursuing a problem until you solve it. You'll take on any challenge, and always do your best to meet it.
You're careful and precise with your words, and you sometimes need to temper your pedantic instincts.
You take pleasure in helping and delighting others. In another life, you could have been an Apple Store Genius, a storyteller at a cool science museum, or a behind-the-scenes fixer at a posh hotel.
You need variety in your life. You can't face doing the same thing every day or every month.
Our technical support team is the key liaison point between our software developers, customer success, product management, researchers, and customers.
You will be involved in a wide variety of activities, including:
Although not essential to the role, it would be beneficial to have some knowledge or interest in the following areas:
We firmly believe in paying people what they're worth to us, not just what we can get away with or what they could earn elsewhere. We pay excellent salaries above the normal market level, and this is always determined based on your individual skills and contribution. In addition to a generous base salary, we offer share options and a comprehensive benefits package.
We like to have fun (why else would we make a product called Burp?).
We are professional without being corporate.
We encourage a positive work-life balance. We work hard but keep to a normal working day. We don't do stress.
We offer a healthy, high-tech working environment. All our people work on the latest Macs, with dual monitors, sitting-standing desks, and (if they are so inclined) walking treadmills.
We are a close-knit team. We have regular team lunches, evening social events, and amazing parties twice a year.
We are a diverse group of people with a wide range of interests and backgrounds. What Swiggers have in common is that they all love their work and are exceptionally good at what they do.
