I've been a professional developer for fourteen years, minus some time spent trying to become a drumming superstar. I got hooked on computers from an early age, making computer games with QBasic - the software that came with the 486 PC we had.
When it came time to choose a degree there was no other option for me than to go for Computer Science. They let me build a Xylophone-playing robot for my dissertation so it can't be bad ... In my professional life I have always chased challenges, and I love being given opportunities to learn. For those reasons, and many more, PortSwigger is the perfect place for me!
My favorite thing about working for PortSwigger is that everyone is listened to and taken seriously, from the longest serving person to someone on their first day.
A normal day for me is trying to write high quality code to best solve the needs of the business, and succeeding only with the support of the team around me.
My favorite gadget at the moment is my bike turbo trainer. I've been enjoying some serious lockdown cycle pain.
