Director of Customer Happiness
I have worked in customer-facing roles in tech companies for all of my (eeek) 20 year career. I made my debut into the customer-facing world as a lot of people do, as a Saturday girl, on the front tills at WH Smiths! I am a real people pleaser so I thrive in roles where I can interact with customers and make them happy!
I studied International Business and Spanish at University which landed me a role as a Spanish speaking technical support engineer for a US software company straight from Uni. Fast forward 20 years and I joined PortSwigger in Jan of 2020 to head up our customer success function, which has made 2020 a fantastic year for me despite the global pandemic.
It would have to be Liam and Noel Gallagher. I would tell them to settle their rift and do a comeback tour immediately! I would also invite my 20 year old self and tell her to not take everything so seriously!
This might sound cheesy but my favorite thing about working at PortSwigger is genuinely our customers. It's one thing working for an organization that produces such high quality products, it's quite another to be filled with a sense of pride all day from the fantastic things our customers tell me about the products. In other companies I've worked at, I used to spend most of my days dealing with customer issues that had been escalated to me. It's been almost a year at PortSwigger and, in stark contrast, I've yet to come across a customer that I could even describe as disgruntled. Our role is to ensure that our customers' realize value year on year rather than constant fire fighting - their passion for our products really helps!
My two boys. I am genuinely amazed, almost every day, that I have managed to keep them alive for so many years!
